Forward Air Solutions Opens New Kansas City Hub
and Pool Terminal

In February, Forward Air Solutions moved into a newly constructed facility near Kansas City International Airport increasing its capacity to serve customers with Pool Distribution needs in the Midwest.  The new station is conveniently located near major highways for the fastest possible access to customers’ distribution centers and retail outlets.  The new terminal is located adjacent to Forward Air’s wholesale airport-to-airport facility allowing for future growth and more efficient service integration.  

Customers benefit from the new Kansas City operation in a number of ways including:  

• Increased capacity in a true crossdock warehouse with 30,000 sq. ft.
• High quality delivery provided by 26’ straight trucks, tractor-trailers and uniformed drivers
• Daily service to extended markets in Kansas and Missouri such as Wichita, St. Joseph & Topeka
• Regular linehaul to Forward Air Solutions locations in Des Moines and Tulsa
• Fast and convenient transfers from Forward Air’s expedited LTL network
• Constant surveillance with 50% more security cameras and new digital color video recording system
