Our History
Forward Air Solutions was created when Forward Air Corporation acquired USA Carriers in 2007, a recognized leader in the regional distribution transportation for over 25 years. This service is commonly referred to as Pool Distribution in the transportation industry, a customized consolidation and delivery process that controls costs and more effectively replenishes a company’s network of stores in both major cities and more remote communities. Our goal is to provide a national network of pool operations to give retail companies and other industries more comprehensive options for their specialized distribution needs.
With a significant number of pools and a strong customer base, Forward Air Solutions immediately leveraged the assets of its sister company, Forward Air, to create new technology systems, cross-utilize equipment and invest in improvements to the core distribution product at each facility. Our reach grew further with two additional acquisitions in 2008. Pinch Group and Service Express were integrated into the Forward Air Solutions operations, increasing our network coverage in markets such as Texas, Georgia and Virginia, creating a nearly coast-to-coast Pool Distribution network in less than two years.
